There is unlimited walking in both directions. If you so desire
you can actually walk on the beach going south and arrive at the
Mayan ruins of Tulum. To the north are miles and miles of deserted
beach which offer terrific shell collecting. This beach is more
beautiful and more secluded than Cancun was 25 years
ago!
There is also a sweet water inland lagoon [a "cenote" in
Mayan] a short walk from the villa for swimming and snorkeling, a
fabulous restaurant called "Casa Cenote" and a local dive shop with
restaurant facilities called "Tankah Inn". Tankah is well known in
the area for incredible snorkeling, swimming and diving on the reef
which rivals Cozumel with almost constant trade winds. Villa de Paz
has recently been remodeled and now features all new floors, air
conditioning in all the bedrooms, all new appliances and
furnishings. There's a huge upstairs outdoor living terrace that
that measures 16' x 36'. It is half way covered by a palapa [thatch]
roof and offers a 360 degree view of ocean and jungle. You'll be
able to enjoy stargazing, sunrise and sunset as well as bird
watching at your leisure. This amazing house features four bedrooms,
all with an ocean view. The master bedroom and upstairs guest
bedroom share a huge bathroom and both have access to a to the large
balcony. The downstairs guest bedroom is also very large and opens
right onto the beach. The fourth bedroom is actually a fully
equipped guesthouse. It has a huge private outdoor balcony that
looks out over the water. Villa de Paz also has a beautiful new
swimming pool facing the Caribbean. After you are done snorkeling in
the ocean or cenote, it is will be wonderful to be able to take a
dip in the pool to rinse off and relax. Villa de Paz is looked after
by a wonderful couple named Carlos and Sara, they will be their to
look after you and they will be able to prepare fabulous meals for
you on request. It offers many amenities such as a fully equipped
kitchen, outdoor grill, Satellite TV, kayaks, cellular phone, and
