THE TRIDENT
The Trident is part of the Oberoi chain of hotels. And soon it will be joined by another member of the family: Amarvilas, Agra. "While at the Trident, guests may expect the high standards of service associated with the Oberoi, Amarvilas when it opens around September or October this year will be a class act that will be hard to beat. For the Oberoi polish aside, every room will have a direct view of the Taj.
The 140-room hotel is located only a short distance from the Taj. Endeavoring to combine a Mughal leitmotif with modern amenities, the Trident rises amidst manicured lawns. Reminiscent of the Mughal era is the central courtyard, the stonework, splashing fountains and lush greenery. The Trident also has two meeting rooms, both well equipped to host conferences and seminars.
The hotel has a non-smoking section as well as rooms for the physically challenged. To ensure a comfortable stay, the hotel rooms have mini bars, electronic safes, direct dial phones, tea and coffee making facilities and TV.
By way of amenities there is a pool, multi-cuisine brasserie and a bar.
