Situated in the north of Rajasthan, Bikaner is a city of medieval splendour.
The city is justaposed by Ganganagar and Hanumannagar in its northern side
whereas Churu lies in its eastern side. Nagaur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer are
in its south while Pakistan is in the west frontier. The city at the altitude
237 meters was once an important trade center for west-central Asia.

Junagarh Fort
It was built in 15th century by Raja Rai Singh, a trusted general of Akbar.

Lalgadh Palace
Lalgadh Palace was designed by a Britisher, Sir Swinton Jacob for Maharaja
Ganga Singh. This grandiose structure is a blend of Oriental and European

The Ganga Golden Jubilee Temple
The temple, besides its carved architecture is one of the treasures of Rajasthani
sculptures, terracottaware, paintings and musical instruments.

The Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary
Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary, 32 kms on Jaisalmer road from Bikaner, is preserving
a few wonderful species Bluebull, chinkara and blackbuck. The flocks of imperial
sand grouse add colour to this biodiversity.
The Camel Breeding Farm
Just 10 kms away from the city, this camel breeding farm is one of its kind
in Asia and is managed by Government of India where efforts are being made
to produce breeds with longer and thicker eyelashes to offer greater protection
during sandstorms.
Devi Kund
8 kms from Bikaner, the tank is very attractive, this area is also famous
for the cenotaphs of the rulers of the province.
Karni Mata Temple

banks of the lake adjacent to Kolayatji.
Kalibanga
205 kms from the city, Kalibanga has the remnants of pre-Harappan and Harappan
civilization. The place is archaeologically very important comparable to Harapa
and Mahenjodaro.
